Job Description

·       Manage project development from pre-design through completion, meeting with clients and consultants to determine project objectives, budgets, and timelines.  

·       Create conceptual designs that optimize space utilization and prepare detailed architectural drawings and specifications using CAD and BIM software.  

·       Lead the coordination of multiple disciplines to produce a comprehensive set of
construction documents that complies with local building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.

·       Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to architectural plans, and troubleshoot any design or construction issues that arise.  

·       Review shop drawings, respond to requests for information (RFIs), and manage the approval of consultant requests for payments and schedule extensions.  

·       Act as an intermediary between the client and the construction team, managing project budgets, time schedules, and resources.  

Job Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program and a valid state architectural license.  

·       5 to 8 years of professional architectural experience, with a proven track record of managing large-scale or complex construction projects.  

·       Advanced proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (such as Revit).  

·       Thorough understanding of building codes, construction methods, and local zoning regulations.  

·       Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, focusing on soft costs, project milestones, and timely deliverables.  

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders and external authorities.

 

Ideal Profile

·       Demonstrated expertise in balancing the diverse functional and structural requirements inherent in mixed-use developments.

·       Strong understanding of sustainable design practices and green building certifications, with experience in energy modeling and environmental impact analysis.  

·       Advanced capability in utilizing BIM for comprehensive structural coordination, risk management protocols, and project scheduling.
