Job Description

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead and manage overall refinery / oil & gas plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous production.

·       Manage daily operations of process units, utilities, storage, and transfer systems, ensuring production targets and operating standards are achieved

·       Monitor and optimize process parameters, production performance, product quality, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.

·       Lead plant start-up, shutdown, commissioning, turnaround, troubleshooting, and emergency operations.

·       Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, PSM, HSE standards, PTW, LOTO, JSA, Risk Assessment, and MOC requirements.

·       Lead and manage shift teams and operations personnel, ensuring effective manpower allocation, operational discipline, and staff development.

·       Coordinate with Process Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Laboratory, and Inspection teams to resolve operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

·       Review operational reports, production performance, and process deviations; drive process optimization, production improvement, energy efficiency, and cost reduction, and provide recommendations to senior management.

Job Requirements

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E. Chemical) is mandatory.

·       Minimum 10–20 years of hands-on experience in Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or other major Process Plant Operations.

·       Proven experience in a senior Operations / Operations Management role, with strong responsibility for overall plant operations, production, utilities, storage, and transfer systems

·       Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience in plant start-up, shutdown, commissioning, turnaround, troubleshooting, and emergency operations.

·       Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), HSE, PTW, LOTO, JSA, Risk Assessment, MOC, and emergency response procedures, with a strong focus on operational safety.

·       Proven ability to lead and manage shift-based operations teams, drive process optimization, production improvement, energy efficiency, cost control, and overall operational performance.

·       Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and reporting skills, with good command of written and spoken English and proficiency in MS Office.
