Job Description
· Manage structural engineering development from pre-design through completion, meeting with clients, architects, and consultants to determine structural objectives, budgets, and timelines.
· Create structural conceptual designs that optimize load distribution and prepare detailed structural calculations, framing plans, and specifications using advanced analysis and BIM software.
· Lead the coordination of multidisciplinary teams to produce a comprehensive set of construction documents that complies with local building codes, seismic requirements, and structural safety standards.
· Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to structural plans, and troubleshoot any structural or construction issues that arise.
· Review structural shop drawings, respond to requests for information (RFIs), and manage the structural evaluation of consultant requests for modifications and schedule extensions.
· Act as a technical intermediary between the design team and the construction crew, managing structural budgets, time schedules, and material resources.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited program and a valid professional engineering (PE) or structural engineering (SE) license.
· 5 to 8 years of professional structural engineering experience, with a proven track record of managing large-scale or complex construction projects.
· Advanced proficiency in structural analysis software (such as ETABS, SAP2000, or SAFE) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (such as Revit).
· Thorough understanding of building codes (such as IBC, ASCE 7), construction methods, and local zoning/structural regulations.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, focusing on structural safety, project milestones, and timely deliverables.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders, architects, and external authorities.

· Demonstrated expertise in balancing the diverse functional, aesthetic, and structural requirements inherent in mixed-use developments.
· Strong understanding of sustainable structural design practices, low-carbon materials, and green building certifications, with experience in lifecycle analysis and environmental impact assessments.
· Advanced capability in utilizing BIM for comprehensive structural clash detection, risk management protocols, and construction phase coordination.
