Job Requirements

·       A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required

·       The candidate must possess strong proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the Chinese language. Mastery in these skills is essential to effectively translate complex ideas and technical jargon.

·       Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, as well as a background in engineering, is highly preferred. This experience will enable the translator to better understand and communicate industry-specific terminology

·       A strong business mindset is crucial, as the translator must understand the broader context of the discussions and convey not just the literal meaning but also the intent behind the words.

·       Ability to manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.

·       Proficiency in using translation tools and software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in translating documents

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with teams from diverse backgrounds.

·       Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently are essential, as the role may require the translator to be present at various locations, both within the country and potentially abroad, to support meetings and business activities

·       Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information or documents.

 

Additional Preferences:

·       Certification in translation or interpretation is a plus

·       Experience with legal and contractual terminology would be advantageous.

·       Familiarity with other languages, especially English, is a plus, as it may be necessary for translating between multiple languages.
