Job Description

• Define and own development strategy to develop group’s vision on solar energy business. Develop a completely new team to scale up GBS Group’s vision and strategy in Solar Energy Business.

• Originate and develop a well-articulated business development plan in all segments of solar energy from residential, small business to a large scale off grid- on grid hybrid technology.

• Develop, lead and manage the strong internal team with the responsibility of sales, technical, performance assurance and aftersales for the solar business of the Group.

• Effectively and regularly communicates with Corporate leadership, including managers, supervisors, salespeople, engineers, and project managers.

• Establishes and drives internal processes on solar business and environment of continuous improvement.

• Works closely with other Subsidiary Business Unit heads to generate the leads, references and leveraging the eco system of the group to drive solar energy business.

• Manages all engineering, estimating, project management, commissioning, and measurement/verification functions on all solar businesses within the company.

• Attends customer appointments and presentations with salespeople to assist in developing solar projects to close.

• Assists the project teams with preliminary project budgets, energy savings calculations, and financial analyses on solar projects.

• Monitors and tracks performance data on installed solar projects to ensure customer expectations are met.

• Develop strategic partnerships (Real Estate Developers, Funds, external installers) to scale the solution.

• Develop strong understanding of the renewables industry, power markets and developments for yourscope.

• Develop for each market a regulatory pack to explain to corporates the market functioning and developments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Economics/Business or related fields; MBA is a plus.

• Ages of above 30 years old.

• More than 5 years’ experience in similar management capacity and regional role with proven leadership and management experience and successful track record and expertise in international business transactions and project development.

• Relevant experience in energy sector, exposure to group Client Solutions, power business will be preferred.

• Possess strong entrepreneurial spirit with value creation in different business segments and brin collaboration between the teams.

• Multi-tasker, managing complex project development cycles with aggressive targets and short deadlines. Lead all the key business development activities from initiation to implementation.

• Capable to lead and challenge project financially (capital structuring, financial modelling, and financial advisors) and technically (Consultants, Engineering,)

• Effective network with Contractors, Banks, Investors, Land owners and Governmental instructions.

• Demonstrated achievement of excellence in the workplace (including Safety & Health and Environment) and continual process improvement.

• Has the capability to interface efficiently with operational teams of all levels in a technical environment.

• Creative, customer-focus, and ability to build relationship and solutioning

• Strong leadership, people management including coaching & mentoring, and a team player.

• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills is a must. Problem solving & decision-making skills, meticulous and eye for details.
