Job Description
Key Relationship
· Internal – Head of HR, Department Managers, Employees in the Portfolio
· External – Labour Offices, Tax Offices, Banking Payroll Service Provider
Payroll Processing
· Prepare, calculate, and process monthly payroll accurately and on time
· Prepare and distribute payslips to employees
· Respond to employee enquires professionally regarding payroll, tax and SSB matters
· Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information
Tax and Statutory Compliance
· Calculate and process monthly Personal Income Tax (PIT), and annual Personal Income Tax (PIT) reports
· Handle monthly tax return submissions and annual PIT filings through Tax portal, in compliance with applicable tax regulations
· Calculate Social Security Board (SSB) contributions and submissions to SSB office
· Ensure payroll compliance with Myanmar labor laws and tax regulations
Compensation and Salary Benchmarking
· Conduct regular market salary benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices
· Assist Head of HR in reviewing salary ranges to align with market trends and business needs
Payroll Audit
· Maintain and update monthly payroll records properly to meet with audit requirements
· Support internal and external payroll audits by preparing and providing accurate payroll records, reports and supporting documents
· Coordinate with HR, Finance and Auditors towards successful audits.
Employment Contract Making
· Coordinate with Head of HR regarding compensation and payroll information related to employment contracts
· Any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
· Any University degree ; Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related areas is highly preferred.
· Minimum 5 years of payroll handling experience, including high-volume payroll processing for 400+ employees and large monthly payroll budgets
· Knowledge of labour law and Human Resources related processes, tools, policies and guidelines and their application to complex organizational issues.
· Proficiency in payroll systems and automated payroll processing is highly preferred.
· Must be able to work with confidential data.
Skills
· Computer Skills (MS Office, advanced Excel skill is essential)
· Strong Numeric & Analytical skills
· Communicable level of English
